A FAMILY PROPERTY
Developed by Régis, Thérèse and their son Sébastien Moro in the early 1980s, the 42-hectare estate has always been cultivated organically. It received official organic certification in 2008, followed by biodynamic certification in 2013. As close friends of Jean Pierre Amoreau, owner of le Puy and Closerie Saint Roc, with whom they share a common vision of wine-growing, they naturally called on the Amoreau family to take over their estate in 2022.
A COMMITMENT TO ORGANIC PRODUCTION
Closerie du Pelan is the unique expression of grapes harvested in the “Pelan” locality, to the east of Saint-Émilion village. Our vines thrive here without fertiliser, weed-killer or any other synthetic products, in an environment which fosters the healthy root growth and vigour of our plants.
